Somah's music

It's amazing how motivating avoidance can be. Instead of doing the many things I should be doing, I spent the day uploading the entire studio discography of Somah. I played with Somah between 1992 and 1998 and we came very close to making it in the music business. However, other forces were at work (namely dance, R&B, and rap virtually eliminating the market for our kind of music) and we were forced to retire in January 1998.

Now, on the 10th anniversary of Somah's demise, I've established a website on which the story of Somah is briefly told, and all three of our studio albums are available for streaming or download. Also included are some bonus tracks.

I guess I'm reliving my life as a musician this week.

So, to sum up:

Somah's music can be heard here.
Sigmund Blue's music can be heard here.
Todd Rooster's music can be heard here.
The Athens Fusion Collective's music can be heard here.
Danger Will Robinson's one and only show can be heard here.
My entire solo discography can be heard here.

That about covers it.

so you say you don't like this music
well i suggest you listen to me
you know we weren't meant for each other
but I know you were made for me
simple chords a complex girl
falling under the wait of the world
you have the power to unmask me
a face nobody's supposed to see

and i see katie
show the world your anarchy
and tonight maybe
i can rest less painfully
and i see baby
don't be scared to talk to me
to me katie
show the world your anarchy tonight

you say that soon you will be gone
all your life is fading dim
what will i do without you here
ignoring me to talk to him
red house upon the hill
overgrown with ivy leaves
my peaceful place for peaceful thoughts
i take you there to be with me

and i see katie
show the world your anarchy
and tonight maybe
i can rest less painfully
and i see baby
don't be scared to talk to me
to me katie
show the world your anarchy tonight

and i see katie
running with my heart again
and i please baby
show me how to be your friend
and i please katie
teach me how to dance again tonight
tonight
